On 21.08.2023 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Electronics and Communication Engineering department organized a program titled “Entrepreneurship as an Alternative Carrier Choice - Discussion with Student Entrepreneurs and Innovators”. The student entrepreneurs participated in the discussion were Mr. V Anto Joel & Darshan Kumar L, Final CSE and A Muthuraman, Ms Dharshni M, Final CSE and Mr. M. Praveen, Third CSE Innovators of Francis Xavier Engineering College Tirunelveli. 42 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convener, IIC Innovation Ambassador for "Design thinking & Innovations", Assistant professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, IIC President.
The program started with the welcome address of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, IIC President, he said entrepreneurship is an alternative career choice, offering individuals the opportunity to create, innovate, and lead their own businesses. He said entrepreneurs often have a strong desire to bring their innovative ideas to life and make a tangible impact on society. He also said that entrepreneurship can offer greater flexibility in terms of work hours, location, and lifestyle. This flexibility can be particularly appealing to individuals seeking a better work-life balance. He said in entrepreneurship a person enjoys continuous learning and development and allowing individuals to acquire diverse skills ranging from leadership to problem-solving. Then IIC president introduced all the student entrepreneurs and innovators to the gathering and welcomed all the students and request the students to ask more question and make the session interactive.
Mr. Muthuraman, founder and CEO of Kasadara Tech and Reality Studio explained his early stage entrepreneurial experiences and he also shared his personal experience in each stage of business growth. He runs three business under Kasadara Tech and Reality studio and explained the products produced by them. Followed by this Mr. V.Anto Joel & Darshan Kumar L, Final CSE the Founder CEO and Director of Zenanvibe explained their ERP product business. They explained their latest product Inseatfood developed to supply food in movie theatres and avoid being waiting in queue.
Mr.Praveen, Final CSE explained his innovative product Iris Walker. He won Rs.1,00,000 in the TNSI competition for his innovative product. He explained his product uniqueness and how it is different from the product exist in the social domine. He also said that the field study and the reviews collected helped him to improve his smart glass. Finally, student Innovator Ms. Dharshini, Final CSE, the founder of Infosmite explained her innovative product “Voice Assisted wheel chair”. She has got Rs 2,00,000 from EDII TN under Innovation Voucher Program (IVP). She encouraged the participants to involve in entrepreneurship and to develop the startup.
