On 04.07.2022 a Motivational Talk on “Value Preposition Fit and Business Fit” was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC at 2.00 p.m. - 3.00 p.m. Dr. K.Lakshmi Narayanan, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, In-charge of Embedded and IOT Incubation Centre, Francis Xavier Engineering College was the resource person. The program was delivered in offline mode and was coordinated by Dr. T. Manimozhi, EDC Co-coordinator & Professor, Mathematics, CSBS Department.
The resource person explained the meaning of value proposition fit. He said that a fit is achieved when the products and services offered as part of the value proposition address the most significant pains and gains from the customer profile. Identifying the value proposition on paper is only the first stage. He gave the following examples such as Uber – The Smartest Way to Get Around, Apple iPhone – The Experience IS the Product, Unbounce – A/B Testing Without Tech Headaches, Slack – Be More Productive at Work with Less Effort, Digit – Save Money Without Thinking About It. He also said that the value that you deliver can typically impact your clients on three different levels namely technical, business, and personal. The students gained knowledge and the students asked few questions about value proposition and how it used to prepare the business canvas. The interaction motivated the students to get new insight about value proposition fit and business fit. 57 students and 1 staff attended the program very actively.
