On 13.04.2022 a workshop on “Prototyping- A Solution to Evaluate a New Design” was arranged by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of ECE department and Institution’s Innovation Council through offline mode from 11.00 AM – 12.35 p.m. Dr.A.Andrew Roobert, In-charge of Advanced Electronic System Design Applied Lab, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, Francis Xavier Engineering College was the guest speaker. The program was presided by Mrs J Friska HOD/ECE and ECE students and ECE faculty members participated in the event. The welcome address was given by Miss. Shivani, Second year ECE student and the program was coordinated by Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convener, IIC Innovation Ambassador for "Design thinking & Innovations", Assistant professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College. During his speech the guest speaker explained the meaning of Prototyping and why it is essential before making the final version of the product. As the speaker is involved in the Advanced Electronic System Incubation centre, he highlighted the importance of developing the prototype with the help of his own experience in the product development. He said that the prototyping is the experimental model of a proposed solution used to test or validate ideas. As the prototype gives a model of the final product, it can be tested and verified for its durability, reliability and readiness for the market fit. Students interacted freely with the resource person and clarified their doubts. 47 students and 5 staffs were actively participated in the session.
The interaction between the students and the resource person was highly motivating to all the students. The Program was organized by Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convener, IIC Innovation Ambassador for "Design thinking & Innovations", Assistant professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College.
