Java, as a programming language, was one of the most popular choices among programmers and developers for years. Owing to its versatility, compatibility, robustness, security, object orientedness, Java Programming is the backbone of millions of software applications. On 11th, Oct 2022, the Workshop was conducted on the topic “Java Programming” by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with computer society of India for the II Year Computer Science and Engineering Students. It was conducted as a part of Industry Supported Course on 21CS6303 – Object Oriented Programming Systems. Mr. Rolland Enoch John, Chairman and CEO, Rishon Communication Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was the resource person for the programme. Dr. E. Manohar, AP/CSE welcomed the resource person. Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD/CSE introduced the resource person and Dr. R. Ravi, Professor/CSE. honored him. The resource person started his session with an introduction about network, port etc and explained SQL table, NE table, Port table, SQL Query Syntax and Data model. He gave a lecture about various concepts in Java, data model abstract classes and the architecture of Java Enterprise Application. He also explained about the presentation, business logic and JPA layer in Java Enterprise Application, entity, Java annotation and thread, the various states of thread and various types of threads in Java. He taught about the difference between process and threads and also about Build Annotation. The workshop came to an end with a vote of thanks by Dr. E. Manohar. The programme was arranged by Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan and coordinated by Dr. E. Manohar.
