Workshop on Github

On 13th May, 2023, the workshop on the topic “Github” was conducted under the activity code ACT/22-23/01507. Er. Sharan A C, (CSE Alumni) Software Engineer, Kloud Technology Works Pvt. Ltd was the resource person for the workshop. Dr. E. Manohar welcomed and introduced the resource person. The resource person interacted with the I and III year CSE students. The resource person demonstrated about Git and Github operations. He said that Git is a distributed version control system that tracks changes in any set of computer files, usually used for coordinating work among programmers collaboratively developing source code during software development and further added that GitHub, Inc. is an Internet hosting service for software development and version control using Git. The students clarified their doubts regarding Github with the resource person. He talked about the demand and high salary packages for Go Language in the industry and the cost and efficiency of Go Language is higher than Java Language. He also explained about concurrency in Go Language and Go routines and demonstrated his code. The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan. The event was coordinated by Dr. E. Manohar under the guidance of Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD/CSE and Mr. Krishan Kumar, Director, Alumni Association.
