Workshop on Entrepreneurship: A Seedbed for Economic Growth

On 28th ,October 2022 an Expert Talk on “Entrepreneurship: A Seedbed for Economic Growth” was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Studies in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell at 1:30 to 4.00 p.m. Mrs.P. Sooriabrabha, A P/Mathematics, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai was the resource person and coordinated by Dr. T. Manimozhi, EDC Co-coordinator & Professor Mathematics of CSBS Department. 58 students and 1 staff member participated in the program.

The speaker started explaining the importance of becoming Entrepreneur and the role of entrepreneurship in the development of the economy. She explained the interesting stories and successful Indian entrepreneurs. Moreover, she said that both the Central and State governments are promoting entrepreneurship through number of schemes. She mentioned few schemes like Startup India, Startup TN etc., With the help of the various schemes the unemployed youths are taking advantage of this and developing startups. Because of the growth in entrepreneurship and startups there is an improvement in the GDP of Tamil Nadu. She also said that the engineering students must opt for entrepreneurship and develop number of startups to accelerate the state economy and provide jobs to others.
