Workshop on Enabling Yourselves on the Knowledge Economy

The knowledge economy provides new opportunities and ways to make money for entrepreneurs. On 19th October 2022, a workshop on “Enabling Yourselves on the Knowledge Economy” was conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with the Computer Society of India for the interested CSE, CSBS and MBA department students . Mr. Ranjith Kumar, CEO, Bevywise Networks, Bengaluru was the resource person. Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD/CSE welcomed and introduced the resource person. The resource person advised the students to read beyond the college and he shared his 20 years of experience in the software industry and also about the Industrial revolution 4.0. He taught about the history of industrial revolution such as Mechanization, Steam Power, Computer Automation and Cyber Physical System and also about economy transformation and the various types of economy transformation such as manufacturing economy, automation economy and knowledge economy. He explained in detail about technology trends and the underlying technology such as next level process automation and process visualization, features of connectivity, distributed infrastructure, next generation computing, applied AI and future programming, 5G, block chain, Web 3.0, IOT and Merverse. He further elaborated about his company and their technological activities and explained about StartupTN, TANSEED and about venture capital. At the end of the session, the speaker gave assignments to the students and asked them to share their innovative ideas towards various day to day life problems. Dr. G.
