Workshop on Design Thinking

On 12th November 2022, a Workshop on “Design Thinking - Discussion with Students” was organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell. Mr. T. A. Gladston Akash Raja, II AI&DS, Student Entrepreneur, Francis Xavier Engineering College was the resource person and he discussed the design thinking with many examples like furplate, uncomfortable key, uncomfortable slim staircase, engagement cups and drone umbrella. He insisted that before starting the business, design thinking must be proper and he further added that communication and observation plays a key role for the design to be commercialized . During this session, students got clear ideas about mindset and brainstorm which are very important for making the design to be perfect. In the discussion session Mr. Jefferson II AI&DS and Mr Mariselvam II AI&DS cleared their doubts regarding product study and market development. This workshop was convened by Dr. A. Anitha, HOD/AI&DS and Coordinated by Mrs. P. Sooriabrabha, AP/AI&DS.
