Workshop

On 16th November, 2022, the Workshop was conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering on the topic “Red Hat Certified System Administration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0 (RHEL-9.0)”. Mr. Mahesh, Red Hat Trainer, Mr. J. S. Sukumar, Industry Institute Initiatives Consultant, Advantage Pro, Chennai and Mr. Ranjit Sen Guptha, Director, Advantage Pro, Chennai were the resource persons for the programme. Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD/CSE welcomed and introduced the resource persons. Mr. J. S. Sukumar, talked about the benefits and scope for open source and also shared information about the various Red Hat Linux Certifications. Mr. Ranjit Sen Guptha, shared the overview about the workshop and Mr. Mahesh, gave hands-on training to the students. He taught about Red Hat Certification Central, Linux history, Benefits of Open-source Vs Closed source, Benefits of Linux over Windows operating System and also gave an overview about Red Hat Linux, Ubuntu Linux, Fedora Linux, Kali Linux and Linux Mint. Mr. Mahesh taught about Web Server Hosting, the Linux Command to Install Web Server Application, Run the web server application, creating folder creating files, view the local host and viewing the history of commands. The programme was arranged by Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan and coordinated by Dr. E. Manohar.
