On 31st Oct 2022 an Expert Talk was organized by Entrepreneur Development cell and IIC in association with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at 9.00 am to 12.30 p.m. on the topic "Strategies to Convert Ideas into Innovation”. M.Arun kumar, Synchron Electricals was the Guest speaker. This event was coordinated by Mrs. A. Amala Manuela, Assitant Professor/EEE. 40 students and 1 staff member participated in the program.
The resource person explained the need and importance of becoming an entrepreneur, especially the engineering students. He highlighted the opportunities available to the engineering students to becoming an entrepreneur. He also explained the strategies to be followed for converting the ideas into innovation. While explaining this concept, the speaker explained the process of identifying the ideas. For each process he gave number of live examples to impress the participants and motivate them to experiment the same. The speaker explained the process of converting the ideas to innovation. He asked all the participants to convert the ideas to proof of concept and then to develop the prototype using the appropriate technology and tools. He said that after developing the prototype the model should be tested in the market for the acceptability and to check the expectations of the final users. After collecting the opinion of the end users and test marketing the product should be tested in the market in the small area where it can be marketed. The session went on well and participants enjoyed the information and the examples given by the resource person.
