Startup Opportunities for The Budding Engineers

On 9.06.2023 a seminar on “Startup Opportunities for the Budding Engineers” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering from 1.30 PM to 4.00 PM. The resource person of the session was Mr.Anto Joel Valan Mutharasu, III CSE, Founder CEO, Zenanvibe, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 50 students from first year CSE department and 1 faculty member participated in the program. The session was coordinated by Mrs.M.Bagya Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College.

The resource person explained the concept of startup and the opportunities. While giving information about startup the resource person gave lot of live examples to explain the importance of startup. The speaker being the startup founder he highlighted his journey and how he developed his skills during lockdown. He gave lot of business ideas and the opportunities to start the income generating ventures. During his speech he gave examples such as swiggy, zomatto, OLA, OYO etc,. and asked all the participants to identify the problems in the public domine and offer a solution which can be used to overcome the problem. He encouraged the students to write their own ideas for the problems they face in day-to-day life. The participants interacted with the resource person and gathered more information. In fact, the participants interaction kept the whole session very lively.
