On 4.05.2023 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a session “Sharing of Success Story - An Innovative Product Development” from 09:30 AM to 12.30 PM. The resource person of the session was Mr.M.Praveen, III CSE, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The session was coordinated by Mrs.M.Bagya Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 52 students from Second year CSE Department and one faculty member participated in the program.
The resource person shared his experience about the new product development and the steps he undertook to develop the product. He said it is important to search the literature reviews about the innovative idea or concept. He also explained the process of developing a new product. The speaker also explained the idea of developing startups with the help of a new innovative product developed. At this stage he clarified the Myths and reality of innovation. He used number of live examples to explain the concept of innovation and the various stages in the product development.
Moreover, he explained the different types of innovation and gave the example for each type from real time industrial applications. He shared the experience in terms of failures and success during his product development. The session was an interactive one and the students interacted with the resource person very eagerly to gather more information about his experience in the product development. He also gave few innovative ideas which can be explored further to develop some useful innovative product.
