Sharing of Product Development Experience by Student Product Innovator

On 24.1.2023 a session on “Sharing of Product Development Experience by Student Product Innovator” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&DS. The session was handled by Mr. M .Praveen III CSE-A, Francis Xavier Engineering college. The students from Second year AI&DS and faculties of AI&DS department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs P.Sooriabrabha, Assistant professor, Department of AI&DS from 2.PM - 4 PM. 64 students and 1 staff member participated in the program.

The program started with the introduction of Guest Speaker Mr. M .Praveen III CSE-A by Mrs P.Sooriabrabha, Assistant professor, Department of AI&DS . The resource explained why the engineering students must involve in innovation and develop innovative products. He shared his personal experience on Product Innovation. He discussed about the basic steps to be followed in the product development and how to convert the project work into a product. He also explained what is a product ?, what is a startup? and difference between product and projects. He motivated the students to start the product development from small projects .If they focused their idea by using small things which helped to make a project, this will help them to scaleup the project into product. Students understood the difference between product and project, challenges in developing a product. At last he explained how he has developed his product and shared his experience and also his future vision of his products. At the end of session students gave their feedback and asked their doubts about the product development.
