Session on VC Funding Opportunity for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs

On 19.8.2024 a “Session on VC Funding Opportunity for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The session was handled by Mr.P.Selvakumar, Department of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 1.30 PM to 4.00 PM. 60 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by M.Mariammal AP/CSE. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr.Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address and introducing the guest speaker by M.Mariammal, AP/CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The guest speaker explained the concept of venture capital (VC) funding opportunities for early-stage entrepreneurs which provides invaluable insights into the critical aspects of securing financial backing in the startup ecosystem. The speaker outlined the fundamentals of VC funding, emphasizing its role in scaling innovative ideas into successful businesses. The lecture covered key topics such as the stages of funding, from seed to Series A, and the expectations and requirements at each stage. The speaker also highlighted the importance of a solid business plan, market validation, and a scalable business model in attracting VC fuding.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where attendees could seek personalized advice, making it a highly interactive and beneficial experience for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to navigate the complexities of venture capital funding.
