On 22.07.2024 a session on "Incubation Opportunities for the Early Stage Entrepreneurs" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. The session was handled by Mrs.A.Anitha, Assistant Professor, Department of CSBS, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai , from 09.30 AM - 12.30 AM. 54 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs.Freeda Jebamalar.S AP/CSBS. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address by Mrs.Freeda Jebamalar.S, AP/CSBS Francis Xavier Engineering College. She introduced the guest speaker Mrs.A.Anitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai.

The guest speaker started the speech by explaining the primary purpose of nurturing the young startups by providing them with the necessary resources and guidance to navigate the incubation opportunities of early-stage business development. He also spoke about the different types including Tech Incubators, Social Enterprise Incubators, Industry-Specific Incubators, University-Based Incubators. She discussed the benefits including Mentorship and Guidance which will give access to experienced mentors who provide strategic advice and industry insights. She emphasized the Networking Opportunities (i.e) Connect with other startups, potential investors, and industry experts.

She said that the business plan can help participants to the identify potential funding sources and outline financial projections. She discussed about how to educate the participants about the Incubation opportunities which are available for start-ups and their implications. She discussed the ethical challenges such as data privacy, transparency, and responsible marketing. The students left the session with a renewed sense of purpose, with valuable insights that will undoubtedly shape their entrepreneurial journeys. This session served as a testament to the limitless possibilities that lie ahead for those who dare to dream and work tirelessly to turn those dreams into reality.
