This event was coordinated by Mrs.Freeda Jebamalar.S AP/CSBS. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address by Mrs.Freeda Jebamalar.S, AP/CSBS Francis Xavier Engineering College. She introduced the guest speaker Mr.Selvakumar.P, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai. The guest speaker started his speech by explaining about starting a new business venture and the careful planning and consideration of legal and ethical aspects to ensure its success and sustainability. He discussed about how to understand the Start-up landscape by providing the participants with an overview of the start-up ecosystem which include the current trends, challenges, and Opportunities.

The resource person said that the Angel investors are wealthy private investors focused on financing small business ventures in exchange for equity. Unlike a venture capital firm that uses an investment fund, angels use their own net worth. Angel investing is a good option for startups to raise large amounts of capital without being constrained by the requirements that go along with taking out a loan. The angel investors will take around 10% and 25% but it can be as much as 40% or more. Angel investment is most suitable if the business has growth potential, and are willing to give up part ownership in return for investment.

The students left the session with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with valuable insights that will undoubtedly shape their entrepreneurial journeys. This session served as a testament to the limitless possibilities that lie ahead for those who dare to dream and work tirelessly to turn those dreams into reality.
