Plan Your Carrier: Be a Creative Innovator

On 17.10.2023 a session on “Plan Your Carrier : Be a Creative Innovator” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&DS. The session was handled by the resource person Ms.M.Dharshini , IV CSE, student innovator FXEC. 60 students from first year AI&DS and 1 faculty of AI&DS department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs P.Sooriabrabha, Assistant professor, Department of AI&DS from 9.00 AM –12.30 PM.

The program started with the introduction of guest speaker Ms.M.Dharshini , IV CSE, student innovator FXEC by Mrs.P.Sooriabrabha Assistant professor Department of AI&DS .The resource person discussed about the concept and the process of innovation. The resource person shared her personal experience as a product innovator. She said that the creative innovators should understand their strengths, passions, and interests. Based on the interest and passion one must explore and apply the knowledge one is having in some application areas which will throw light in to the next stage. She advised the students to explore their creative talents, problem-solving abilities, and areas of curiosity. This insight will help them to identify their unique path as an innovator. A strong educational foundation is also essential for a creative innovator.

She said that networking can help the students to gain new perspectives, collaborate on projects, and access valuable resources. She asked the students to experiment with the ideas and projects. Be prepared to pivot and adapt as necessary. Whether you want to pursue entrepreneurship by starting your own venture or work as an intrapreneur within an established organization will offer opportunities for innovation but come with different challenges and rewards. Planning your career as a creative innovator requires a combination of self-discovery, education, networking, and resilience.
