The resource person of the session was Mrs.M.Bagya Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 46 students from first year CSE department and 1 faculty member participated in the program. The session was coordinated by Mrs.M.Bagya Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College.

The resource person explained Pitching in business refers to presenting business ideas to another party. For example, one can pitch the startup business to potential investors or the products to potential customers. A business pitch needs to give the audience a clear understanding of the plan or goals to gain buy-in. She said that the main purpose of pitching is to find investors. Since most entrepreneurs and companies need investors, they develop a pitch to encourage individuals to donate to their project development. Investors typically have a share in the business after the initial donation and are almost equally as invested as the creators of the product. She also highlighted the different types of pitching namely investor pitch, elevator pitch, sales pitch and product pitch. The resource person gave explanation with a live example for all the types of pitching. The participants raised lot of questions and all the queries were clarified with suitable examples.
