On 15.05.2024 a session on "Opportunities in Online to become an Entrepreneurs" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. The session was handled by Mrs.M.Deepa ,Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai , from 12.30 PM - 04.30 PM. 55 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs.S.Freeda Jebamalar AP/CSBS. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes PoobalaRayen, EDC Director.
The program started with the welcome address by Mrs.S.Freeda Jebamalar, AP/CSBS Francis Xavier Engineering College. She introduced the guest speaker Mrs.M.Deepa, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai. The guest speaker started the speech by explaining about starting a new business venture also referred to as a start-up which requires careful planning. She discussed about the Freelancing, consulting, blogging which plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of innovation. Leaders should champion new ideas, allocate resources, and provide support and guidance to innovative initiatives. The guest speaker gave lot of live examples such as affiliate marketing, free lancing, dropshipping, social media management and blogger. She discussed the ethical challenges such as data privacy, transparency, and responsible marketing. At last she encourage the participants to incorporate ethical principles into their business model and company culture. The students left the session with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with valuable insights that will undoubtedly shape their entrepreneurial journeys. This session served as a testament to the limitless possibilities that lie ahead for those who dare to dream and work tirelessly to turn those dreams into reality. The interaction between the students and the guest speaker was highly encouraging.
