National Level Technical Innovation Presentation

On 31.10.2023 a National Level Technical Innovation Presentation was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and IIC in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell. The program was organized by Dr Rajee and Dr R Prem Ananth, Assistant Professor of ECE Department of Francis Xavier Engineering College, tirunelveli from 09.30 AM - 04.30 PM. 527 students, 164 external participants and 22 faculties participated. This event was conducted with the guidance of Mrs Friska, HoD/ECE and coordinated with all the faculty members of ECE department.

The program started with the welcome address by Ms Epshipa, final ECE student, she welcomed the chief guest Er. D Dervin Mathan, HR, operation Advisor at HP Enterprise Chennai, the principal Dr V Velmurugan and all the staff and students gathered in the occasion. Dr Rajkumar, IIC President in his Presidential address said that in this national level Technical Innovation presentation, out of 123 innovations registered 72 ideas were selected for the presentation.

The guest speaker Er D Dervin Mathew, on his chief guest address he said the person with innovative mind will build the nation’s economy. He said to the students and the participants, that they should develop problem solving skill. He also said building a project or innovation should start from identifying the problem in the society. The speaker said that he believes that a best innovation should solve the real-life problem. He concluded the speech by requesting the participants to convert their innovations to patents and to product that should be commercialized. 72 innovations were divided based on the streams and made to present in three venues. The best innovation was awarded with Memento and Certificates. Along with the innovation presentation, 24 projects were also displayed by the participants.
