On 14.09.2023 a seminar on "My Story-Motivational Session by Successful Innovators" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Session was handled by Ms.M.Dharshini, Final Year Student, Student Innovator and Startup Founder, Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 09.30 AM - 12.30 PM. 50 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by M.Mariammal AP/CSE.
The resource person being the Student Innovator and a Startup Founder explained about idea generation process which helps to generate ideas and solutions through Sketching, Prototyping, Brainstorming, Brain writing, Worst Possible Idea, and other ideation techniques. The speaker detailed about ideation and the various stages in a Design Thinking, because during Ideation, the aim is to generate more number of ideas which can be filtered and reduced to the best, most practical or most innovative to give the best solution to the problem. The resource person being the student, interacted very freely with the students and generated lot of discussion from the student side. The students proposed few innovative ideas which were taken up for the discussion and the resource person finetuned the idea proposed during the discussion. The session was an interesting one and all the participants gained knowledge about the ideation process involved in the innovation.
