Industrial Visit

Industrial Visits allows the students to explore the revolution and changes undergone in the Industrial sector as per the change in time. An Industrial visit to 3i-Infotech was organized by Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science on 15.9.22. Industrial visit started with welcome note and introductory talk by Mr.Prakash Sundararajan, Head-SCOE. During the visit, Students of AI&DS department interacted with the experts from 3i-infotech about the emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence. Experts from the company highlighted the areas of focus for application based learning such as OpenCV, Natural Language processing, Data Analytic tools etc., The visit was coordinated by Ms.S.Poornam – SM/Training and Skill Development. Dr.A.Anitha, HoD-AI&DS accompanied the student teams. She discussed with Mr.Prakash Sundararajan - Centre Head, on application of data analytics in business sector and the necessary skill sets to be imparted to the students for roles such as business analyst, ML Engineer etc.,. As a part of visit, a project expo was also organized at 3i-infotech. 14 students from second year AI&DS presented their projects based on Artificial Intelligence. The projects were evaluated by Prof. Nagendra, System Architect (IIT), who appreciated the students and motivated them to address the social issues and suggested future enhancement of the projects. Projects presented by Ms.Maheshwari, Ms.Lispa, Ms.Maheshwari and Ms.Bojaxio Tiffy won first Prize and second prize. Project done by Ms.Angeline Miracle Bella, Ms.Evangelin Jenifer and Ms.Tharani won the Third Prize. The expo ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Jerome, HR-Manager, 3i-Infotech.
