Inculcating Innovation Mindset among Budding Engineers

On 21-06-2022 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized seminar on “Inculcating Innovation Mindset among Budding Engineers”. The session was handled by Ms.R.Valarmathi AP /CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The Programme started with the prayer by Prof.Dr.G.Aravind Swaminathan.

The resource person explained innovation and why engineers must involve in innovation. She said that the engineering colleges must inspire all the students in the innovation and product development. She also said that the college must become innovation hub and the innovative product must be taken to the market and conduct test marketing to know the capacity of the products to fulfil the expected need of the prospective customers. The speaker also highlighted some of the innovative products launched by the students studying in the engineering colleges. The guest speaker also underlined the government support and guidance for the development of innovative products, for starting the startups. III year CSE students attended the program and they raised some questions to clarify their doubts. All the students were actively participated in this seminar and benefitted out of it. The event was co-ordinated by Mr. M.Mukesh Krishnan, EDC Coordinator of CSE department, AP/CSE.
