Incubators and Startups: Nexus Impact

On 24-08-2022. Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a guest lecture on “Incubators and Startups: Nexus Impact”. The session was handled by Dr.R.Tino Merlin, Assistant Professor / CSE, Next Generation Computing Industrial Applied Lab, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The Programme started with the prayer by Prof.Dr.G.Aravind swaminathan. The event was co-ordinated by Mr. M.Mukesh Krishnan, EDC Coordinator.

The resource person explained the process of innovation and the role of the Business Incubator in the process of product development. She taught about Innovation, Incubation and Startups. The speaker being the professor in-charge of the Pre-Incubation unit, gave lot of explanation for the daily routine activities in the incubation centre. She explained the innovative ideas developed in the incubation centre and the developmental stages of the innovative products. She also cited the government support for the promotion of startups through various government programmes. Students raised few questions about the startups and the formalities to be fulfilled while developing the startup. In fact, the session evoked good response from the students and benefitted a lot from the discussion. The event was co-ordinated by Mr. M.Mukesh Krishnan, AP/CSE, EDC Coordinator.
