A Guest Lecture was organized for I MCA students on behalf of the MCA Department and DAWN Association. Mr. Sivanesh M (2020 Batch Alumni), Software Developer, Dynamic Scientific Research and Technologies delivered the ideas on “Operating Systems”. Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, HOD/MCA introduced the resource person. The resource person shared about the placement opportunities.
Seeing so many alumni back on campus for the guest speech was great. The speaker was very engaging and shared some great ideas. He also had great advice for the students.
The session commenced with a comprehensive introduction to the operating system provided by the resource person. Subsequently, the speaker elucidated operating systems' various types, functions, and crucial components. The resource person further engaged the students by showcasing a mini project centered around operating systems.
Next, the speaker talked about what needs to make an operating system. These include GRUB for making it work with different systems, GCC for translating the code, and Virtual Box for testing. After that, the speaker showed a live example of his project, helping the students understand how it works practically.
Overall, it was a great event and it was great to see alumni back on campus. The meeting was concluded successfully. Mrs.J.Anciline Jenifer, AP/MCA coordinated the event.
