On 29-06-2022 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a “Guest Talk on Start-up Ecosystem Enablers”. The session was handled by Dr. R. Tino Merlin AP/CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College.
The Programme started with the prayer by Prof.Dr.G.Aravind Swaminathan. The resource person explained opportunities opened to the engineering students to start the startup and the importance of engineering students involving in the development of startups. The speaker said that an enabler is any entity that can facilitate growth of startup by providing adequate investment, mentorship, network connections and market access. She also highlighted the startup ecosystem enablers namely investors, incubators, accelerators, mentors and government bodies etc.
The speaker gave lot of examples for the development of innovative products and the scope for manufacturing the market ready product. She highlighted the sectors which could be given priority to solve the problems faced by the manufacturing sector and to improve the production process using the latest technologies. She also explained about various Start-up Products and various Government funding to start the business. The Program was arranged for III year CSE students. The students actively participated in this seminar and raised lot of questions about startup opportunities and students gained lot of insight about startups. The event was co-ordinated by Mr. M.Mukesh Krishnan, AP/CSE.
