Guest Lecture on Recent Trends in Soft Computing

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Computer Science and Business Systems in association with Computer Society of India, conducted a Guest Lecture on “Recent Trends in Soft Computing”. Prof. S. Kannadhasan, Head of the Department/ ECE, Cheran College of Engineering, was the resource person for the programme. The programme started with the prayer by Ms. Stella of I Year CSE. Dr. R. Ravi, Professor/CSE introduced and welcomed the resource person. He honoured the resource person with the shawl. Prof. S. Kannadhasan shared various information regarding cyber security. He gave tips about how to protect the system from viruses. He taught about fuzzy logic, Fuzzy logic applications, artificial intelligence concepts such as supervised, unsupervised and semi supervised learning, cloud computing and about grid and soft computing. Dr. R. Ravi, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Tino Merlin and Mr. M.A.Y Peer Mohammed Appa under the guidance of Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD-CSE, Dr. S. Gomathi, HOD-CSBS and Dr. V. Velmurugan, Principal.
