On 20.10.2022 a guest lecture was organized by Entrepreneur Development cell and IIC in association with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on the title “Government Schemes and Funding Assistance to Entrepreneurs”. Mr. Srikanth Subramanian, Sr.Business Manager, Retail Agency was the resource person and the program was coordinated by Mrs. A.Amala Manuela, Assistant Professor/EEE. 51 students and 1 staff member participated in the program.
Resource person explained that India is gradually on its mission to build a robust startup ecosystem. In order to promote and support entrepreneurs, the government has created a Ministry (department) dedicated to helping new businesses. Furthermore, the Central Government of India has also introduced many schemes to bolster entrepreneurship in India and to assist emerging startups financially. The resource person explained various schemes through various departments. The website address and the details of all the funding schemes were given to the participants. The resource person also highlighted the trainings offered by the MSME, DIC and other government departments to become an entrepreneur. The session was an eye opener for more number of participants and all the participants benefitted out of the program.
