On 22.10.2024 a motivation session on “From Idea to Impact: The Entrepreneur’s Journey” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The session was handled by Mr. Jey Siddharth, Founder & CEO of HELEYON Technologies, Final Year-Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM. 51 students and 1 faculty participated. This event was coordinated by M.Mariammal AP/CSE. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr.Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address and the introduction of the guest speaker by the EDC coordinator. The speaker explained the need for converting the ideas into a reality which paves the way for starting the entrepreneurial journey. The guest speaker emphasized that this journey begins with a vision—a unique idea that addresses a real-world problem or need. He also explained the process of converting the ideas into action and said that the entrepreneurs must go through the critical stages of validation, where they test their idea against market demands and customer feedback.

Next, he focused on the execution, building a product or service while navigating the challenges of funding, team-building, and operational efficiency. The lecture highlighted the importance of resilience, adaptability, and strategic thinking, as these are key to overcoming setbacks.

Finally, the journey culminates in impact, where the entrepreneur not only achieves success in the marketplace but also creates value for society. The speaker also underscored the significance of continuous learning and iteration to sustain long-term impact in a competitive and ever-changing environment.
