Exposure Visit to Ideation Incubation Centre

On 20.01.2023 a program on “Exposure Visit to Ideation Incubation Centre” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of CSBS. The session was handled by Dr. T. C. Subbulakshmi, Professor incharge of Ideation Incubation Centre, Associate Professor, Department of Information Technology, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 42 students from first year CSBS and 2 faculties of CSBS department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Dr. T. Manimozhi, EDC coordinator of CSBS, Professor/Mathematics, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 1.30P.M. - 3.30 PM.

The program started with the introduction of Guest Speaker by Mrs. A. Anitha madam of CSBS department. Guest Speaker started with the importance of the incubation centres. She said that the incubation centre encourages and facilitates the interdisciplinary research among students and faculty. It also serves as a resource for the community and to provide consulting services on developing creative problem solving competencies within teams and organizations. Turning an innovative idea into tangible concepts by involving students in product development, design thinking and fostering entrepreneurship skills. The Ideation incubation centre provides training to the students on recent technology domains. She highlighted the problem solving and design thinking concepts and the students were given an activity on real world problem to understand the product development process. The students interacted with the speaker about the various activities of the incubation centre. P.Harries Pandi II CSBS shared his experience and his journey in the Ideation Incubation Centre. He inspired the students highlighting the latest technologies, its impact and application.The session came to an end by the feedback session of students and staffs.
