On 21.09.2022 an expert talk on “Why Entrepreneurship a Career option for Youngsters” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Session was handled by Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 1.30 pm to 4.00 pm. The session was coordinated by IIC Convener Dr. Y. Harold Robinson, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College.
The guest speaker gave a detailed explanation on Entrepreneurship and the process of creating a business establishment. He gave a few examples for the successful entrepreneurs. He also explained the different business models for the development of the startups. The case studies presented by the guest speaker gave lot of insights about the entrepreneurial venture. He also suggested that entrepreneurship has become one of the most popular career opportunities which can be opted by the Engineering students.
The speaker also addressed the important qualities of an entrepreneurs and the perseverance the entrepreneurs must take in order to sustain the business. He also stated that the entrepreneurs are the dreamers who are fuelled by the desire to pioneer, lead, innovate and invent disruptive technologies and products. The session was an eye opener for many students who attended the session. The session came to an end with positive feedbacks from audience. 42 students and 2 staff members participated in the program.
