On 10.02.2023 an Expert talk on "Entrepreneurial Opportunities through Online Marketing of Herbal Products" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The session was handled by Mr P. A. Kuttala Rajan, M.Sc., DCPI., Bixo Herbal Cookies, NGO B Colony, Tirunelveli from 1.30 PM - 04.30 PM. 109 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Dr R Prem Ananth AP/ECE.

The program started with the welcome address by Dr Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director and IIC President. He started his welcome address by explaining the entrepreneurial opportunities through online. He also said to the students that mobile marketing is the trend now all over the world by sharing the information about product to the customers through Whatapp group, Facebook, Instagram and Emails. Later he welcomed the guest speaker Mr P. A. Kuttala Rajan, Bixo Herbal Cookies and requested him to explain the concept of marketing through online to the students.

The speaker started the session by explaining the importance of entrepreneurship and the role of online entrepreneurial opportunities. He listed the benefits of self-employment and said that an entrepreneur enjoys time freedom, quality of life, financial freedom and pride and prestige in society. He explained his new business model used in his online herbal product. He said that the new model which operate with the focal point of Pin code helps the person who is in charge of the pin code area to get the business. The pin code promoters will get the discount based on the volume of transaction achieved. He said that if the promotors directly engage in business will get 20% discount as his income. If the transaction comes from other person in the same pin code area, the pin ocde area promoter will get 5 per cent discount for the value of goods sold. There will be only one promotor for one PIN code and the pin code area promoter will get assurance for the sales effected in his pin code area. The program ends with display of Herbal products of Bixo company, the students interacted with the team of manufacturers and gathered information from them.
