Entrepreneurial Opportunities to Earn while Learn

On 29.09.2023 a Guest Lecture on "Entrepreneurial Opportunities to Earn while Learn" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Master of Computer Application. The session was handled by Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen Director EDC&IIC President at Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 11.00 AM - 1.00 PM. 55 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs.M.K.Subbulakshmi AP/ECE.

The guest speaker, Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, commenced his speech by addressing the fundamental aspects of entrepreneurship and its importance. While explaining the role of entrepreneurship in the development of economic development of a nation. In support of this he gave lot of examples to explain how entrepreneurship plays the major role in providing employment to millions of people and how it bridges the gap between the rural and urban development. He inspired the students giving the entrepreneurial opportunities which can be used for making income while learn. He asked the participants to give reasons for the fast-food items used by most of us. The participants replied by saying that it is tasty, looking nice, less costly, instant etc. Then the speaker said that the real reason for using the fast- food and instant foods are less time consuming for the preparation. One prudent person identified the problem faced by the parents and introduced the instant food items which created a huge market we experiencing today.

The guest speaker guided students on how to generate innovative business ideas. He emphasized the need to identify unmet needs, market gaps, and trends as sources of inspiration for entrepreneurial ventures. Furthermore, the speaker addressed the inevitable challenges faced by entrepreneurs. He discussed effective problem-solving strategies and ways to rectify issues that arise during the entrepreneurial journey. He concluded his presentation by requesting the students to involve in student entrepreneurship to earn while learn.
