On 10.10.2024 a session on "Emerging Trends in Technology Entrepreneurship" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. The session was handled by Mrs.Freeda Jebamalar.S, Assistant Professor, Department of CSBS, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai , from 09.30 AM - 12.30 AM. 54 students and 1 faculty participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs.Freeda Jebamalar.S AP/CSBS. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.
The guest speaker started the speech by explaining about the concept of entrepreneurship and gave few examples of successful Indian entrepreneurs. She also highlighted the Technology entrepreneurship which is evolving rapidly by the advancements in emerging technologies and shifts in market demands. She explained the key trends shaping the future of technology-driven startups and businesses such as AI and ML which have become the essential tools for startups across industries.
Entrepreneurs are leveraging these technologies to automate processes, gain insights from data, and offer personalized experiences. AI-driven solutions such as chatbots, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics are now cornerstones in sectors like healthcare, e-commerce, finance, and education. Startups focusing on AI are attracting significant investment, and the trend of using AI to solve complex problems is expected to grow. Green tech startups are developing innovations in renewable energy, waste reduction, carbon capture, and energy-efficient products. Companies that align their business models with sustainability are becoming more competitive and appealing to investors and consumers alike.
