Discussion with Student Startup Founder

On 30.12.2022 a session on “Discussion with Student Startup Founder” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of CSBS. The session was handled by Mr. M. Praveen,III CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 40 students from first year CSBS and 3 faculties of CSBS department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Dr. T. Manimozhi, EDC coordinator of CSBS, Professor/Mathematics, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 10.00AM - 12.30 PM.

The guest speaker started with the importance of Entrepreneurship in society, and why everyone needs to be an entrepreneur. He discussed about the need for Entrepreneurship development and involving students in the innovation and product development in the higher education institutions. The speaker explained about the basic steps involved in the startup like identifying the problems, finding solution for those problems, methods to find out the competitors in the market and ways to overcome the competitors in the market and ways to utilize the social media to directly introduce products to customers without paying advertisement charges. He also gave enough information to start zero investment startups which help to think innovatively by the students to enter into the entrepreneurship. He explained with the products he has developed and shared his experiences with future vision of his products. Students interacted freely with the students and gained lot of information.
