On 27-06-2022 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a seminar on “Developing Technology Based Start-ups”. The session was handled by Mrs. J. Priskilla Angel Rani AP/CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College.
The programme started with the prayer by Prof.Dr.G.Aravind Swaminathan. The resource person explained the areas where the engineering students can concentrate for developing the technology-based startups. She gave examples of technologies which can be used for developing innovative products. She also highlighted that the technology should be used for giving solutions to the existing social problems. The participants were asked to mention few social problems which exists and which can be taken as a priority to give a solution for the same.
The problems given by the students were taken up for the discussion and the possible technology solutions were analysed. In this process the students were also contributed a lot. This was an eye opener for most of the students and they started thinking about developing technological solutions to the problems which exists in the society. She also explained about the various Government funding to start the startup. The students actively participated in this seminar and benefitted a lot. The event was co-ordinated by Mr. M.Mukesh Krishnan, AP/CSE.
