On 07.05.2024 a session on "Developing Prototype: A Key Towards Innovation" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. The session was handled by Mrs.A.Anitha ,Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai , from 09.30 AM - 12.30 AM. 48 students and 2 faculties participated in the program. This event was coordinated by Mrs.S.Freeda Jebamalar AP/CSBS. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address and introduced the guest speak by Mrs.S.Freeda Jebamalar, AP/CSBS Francis Xavier Engineering College. The guest speaker started the speech by explaining the process of starting a new business venture which requires careful planning and ethical aspects to ensure its success and sustainability. She discussed about the start-up ecosystem which include the current trends and challenges. She also highlighted the Leadership which plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of innovation. Leaders should champion new ideas, allocate resources, and provide support and guidance to innovative initiatives. The necessary steps were guiding the participants through the process of creating a well-structured business plan for their start-up which emphasize the importance of defining clear goals, objectives, and strategies to achieve sustainable growth. She discussed that the business plan can help participants to the identify potential funding sources and outline financial projections. She discussed about how to encourage ongoing education and skill development. Innovation flourishes in environments where people are constantly learning and expanding their knowledge and how to protect intellectual property. She discussed the ethical challenges such as data privacy, transparency, and responsible marketing. The students left the session with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with valuable insights that will undoubtedly shape their entrepreneurial journeys.
