On 17.10.2023 a seminar on "Design your Career Path: Be an Entrepreneur" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The session was handled by Ms.M.Dharshini, Final Year & Student Innovator, Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 9.00 AM - 12.30 PM. 61 students and 1 faculty participated. This event was coordinated by M.Mariammal AP/CSE. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr.Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The speaker explained about entrepreneurship and the importance of choosing entrepreneurship as the career option. While explaining the concept of entrepreneurship she gave few examples form the successful Indian entrepreneurs. She also gave information about local entrepreneurs also. The speaker emphasized the importance of identifying the problems faced by the common people and the unmet needs of the people. For identifying the unmet needs, she asked the participants to watch the market closely. She also identify the problems faced by the common people in the ordinary way of life. This will throw light about the business opportunities which can be used to develop the business establishment.

The speaker also requested the participants to present the innovative ideas which evoked a good response among the participants and created a discussion among the participants. The speaker also said that using the brainstorming technique the new ideas can be identified and explore the comprehensive potential of the same. Lastly, the speaker emphasized the necessity of collecting information about various business opportunities through various sources to spot the right opportunity to pay more attention. Participants shared their views by contributing their ideas.
