Department of Information Technology Outreach program - Village visit

Village outreach programs are vital for holistic community development. These initiatives foster empowerment, sustainable growth, and bridge the urban-rural gap, contributing to the overall societal progress and inclusivity. A team of 56 students from the department of Information Technology of Francis Xavier Engineering College visited Melathidiyoor village on 19.08.2024 as a part of their Outreach activity. The visit was organized to provide “Skills for the Villagers and School Students”. The team was received with warm welcome by Mr. Jebaraj, School Headmaster, Melathidiyoor, Tirunelveli. The team of students spread awareness among the public and school students on the importance of education, healthcare, personal awareness and improving living conditions. The visit was organised under the wiseful guidance of M. Team Professors and SCAD Nirman Project Team, SCAD Group under the constant encouragement of our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan. The visit was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman (ASP / Chemistry), Outreach and NSS Program Officer, and Mr. J. Zaharia Gabriel, Professor/ Campus Manager along with the faculty Mrs. S. Abirami AP/IT, Ms. P. Sathya AP/IT and SCAD Nirman project team.
