Converting Innovation into a Start-up

On 26.07.2023 an expert talk on "Converting Innovation into a Start-up" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Session was handled by Mrs.J.Priskilla Angel Rani, Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 09.30 AM - 12.30 PM. 51 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by M.Mariammal AP/CSE.

The guest speaker gave awareness about entrepreneurship, startup and innovation. While explaining the concept of innovation, entrepreneurship and startup, she underlined the importance of the same with the help of live examples. She said that the engineers are nation builders so instead of searching for job all the engineers must involve in the development of startups and provide jobs to others. She said in all the engineering domines there are lot of scope for developing startups and she named few business opportunities the students can make use of for developing business ventures. The resource person encouraged the students to write their own ideas for the problems they face in day-to-day life and also she gave small ideas that gave birth to a start up and that became a listed company such as Redbus, Food chains like Mr.Padmasingh Isaac and she gave local start up success stories. The session was interesting and all the participants involved in it.
