Awareness on Yukti Innovation Repository and Innovation Challenge

On 05.05.2023 an Awareness on "YUKTI Innovation Repository and Innovation Challenge" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of ECE department and IIC through offline mode. The session was handled by Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convener, IIC Innovation Ambassador for "Design thinking & Innovations", AP/ECE, FXEC from 09.30 - 12.30 AM. A total of 48 students and one faculty member participated. The resource person started the session by defining the word innovation, as creation of new or improved knowledge with potential of implementation to the business of the company with positive impacts and market acceptance. He also explained the term business innovation and its features. He said vision, idea, discovery, creativity, development, technology, growth and success will lead to innovative new things. The resource person demonstrated the Yukthi portal and he explained how to register and login in the Portal. He says Yukthi is a system of building ideas, innovations and startups from academic institutions and nurturing for scale up. He also explained that a networked & Hub-spoke Model of Empowering HELs with technology transfer knowledge, skill and capacity to facilitate commercialization of R&D Technologies.

The speaker says that Yukthi portal supports campus commercialization. He demonstrated how to register in a Yukthi portal. He explained the various categories such as idea, innovation/prototype and business model/ startups. He says that students are aware of ideas and prototypes, so he gives more explanation on startups. He also says yukthi supports startups who are in the business model stage and require capital to move onto the next phase of business. The program was coordinated by Pradheep T Rajan B, AP /ECE, FXEC. The session created an Awareness on YUKTI Innovation Repository and Innovation Challenge among the participants. Participants interacted with the resource person and cleared doubts in the registration process and uploading of Ideas, Prototypes and Startups.
