On 24.08.2022 a session on the title "Awareness on Building Institute Level YUKTI - National Innovation Repository (NIR)" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of ECE department and IIC through offline mode. The session was handled by Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convener, IIC Innovation Ambassador for "Design thinking & Innovations", Assistant professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 11.00 - 12.30 PM.
The resource person demonstrated the Yukti portal and explained how to register and to create login in the Yukti Portal. He said that Yukti is a National Repository system to deposit all the innovative ideas, Prototypes and startups from academic institutions and nurturing the same for scale up. He also explained that a networked and Hub-spoke Model of Empowering HEIs with technology transfer to facilitate commercialization of R&D Technologies.
The speaker said that Yukti portal supports campus to commercialization. He demonstrated how to register in a Yukti portal. He explained the various categories such as idea, innovation/prototype and business model/ startups. He stressed students to deposit their innovative ideas, prototypes and startup details in the National Repository. The speaker demonstrated the YKTI Portal with the help of the PPT shared by the MIC and gave lot of examples for the same. In fact it was an interesting event wherein the students raised lot of questions and clarified their doubts. Students promised to upload more number of innovative ideas and Prototypes in the YKTI portal.
The program was coordinated by Pradheep T Rajan B, Assistant Professor /ECE, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The session created an Awareness on Building Institute Level YUKTI - National Innovation Repository (NIR) among the participants. Participants interacted with the resource person and cleared doubts in the registration process and uploading of ideas. 46 participants and 2 staff members participated in the session.
