Astronomy Club Report

The debate competition provides a platform for students to hone their critical thinking, research, and public speaking abilities. On behalf of DAWN Association Astronomy Club, the Department of MCA conducted the Activity “Debate” on 24th May 2023. The competition was aimed to provide an opportunity for students to test their knowledge and engage in healthy competition. It was open to students from all the departments. The judge for the event is Mr. M. Esakkiraj, AP/MCA. The teams were given a topic and had to present their arguments either in favour or against it. The event consisted of an opening statement, constructive speeches, rebuttals, and concluding remarks. The judge assessed the teams based on their logical reasoning, evidence, coherence, presentation skills, and overall persuasive abilities. The Winner List were: CHINNATHAI B – I KARAN SINGH E – II. Participants gained valuable experience in formulating persuasive arguments, structuring speeches, and responding to counter arguments. The event promoted intellectual growth, encouraged teamwork, and fostered healthy competition among the students.
