The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with computer society of India conducted a Seminar on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security” on 06-05-2022 for the 1st Year, 4th Year and M.E. Students of Computer Science and Engineering Department.
Programme Details: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with computer society of India conducted a Seminar on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security” on 06-05-2022 for the 1st Year, 4th Year and M.E. Students of Computer Science and Engineering Department. The resource person for the programme was Dr. Usha B.A., Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BMS Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. The Programme started with the prayer by Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD/CSE. He also welcomed the resource person. Prof. J. Priskilla Angel Rani, Assistant Professor/CSE, introduced the resource person. The resource person taught about how to secure the data. She taught about how data are theft through xerox, data centre, share-it app, mobile service centres and from recharge centres. She also taught about the ransomware thread in stealing the data. A detailed explanation was given by the resource person regarding how the intruders insert the thread. She explained about how thread was inserted due to lack of awareness, lack of expert in technology and lack of awareness in using suitable technology. The usage of statistical analysis was in practice before artificial intelligence came in to account in the field of cyber security. She taught about the various AI based cyber security tools, impact of the tools in cyber security, CISCO cyber security tool and the adversarial machine learning implication in cyber security. Dr. E. Manohar, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was coordinated by Prof. J. Priskilla Angel Rani under the guidance of Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD/CSE.
