A Tool to Nurture the Talent of the Youth towards Entrepreneurship

On 20.10.2022 a seminar on “Entrepreneurial Skillset: A Tool to Nurture the Talent of the youth towards Entrepreneurship” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Session was handled by Dr. C. Yesubai Rubavathy, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.The session was coordinated by IIC Convener Dr. Y. Harold Robinson, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The speaker gave a brief introduction on Entrepreneurship and the importance of the same for aby country. She also suggests entrepreneurship has become one of the most popular subjects being pursued by college students who plan to become their own boss in the future.

The speaker said that surrounding environment also makes a big contribution in developing entrepreneurs, preparing them from a very young age. She pointed that one of the biggest advantages of getting started with entrepreneurship at a young age is the opportunity to learn important skills such as teamwork, networking, problem-solving, critical thinking, innovation, self-discipline. She concluded that the Entrepreneurship is all about taking a risk, being creative, and coming up with new ways to do things. It is the behavior of setting out on your own to find solutions to problems that others haven't been able to solve yet. The session is eye opening for many students and the session ends with positive feedbacks from audience. 35 students and 2 staff members participated in the program.
