On 21.10.2022 a seminar on “Institutional Support: A Key to Motivate Youngsters towards Entrepreneurship” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Session was handled by Mrs. J. Priskilla Angel Rani, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 1.30 pm to 4.00 pm. 40 students and 2 staff members participated in the program.
The session was coordinated by IIC Convener Dr. Y. Harold Robinson, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The speaker gave a brief introduction about Entrepreneurship and the importance of entrepreneurs in the economic development of a nation. She said that how the youngsters as an entrepreneur may feel a level of personal satisfaction that they have created a successful business.
The speaker also addresses about the Self-motivation which is one of the underlying forces that distinguishes the successful entrepreneurs from those who stagger from one neglected start-up to another. The speaker also explained the role of the institutions which provides support to the youngsters who are having some business ideas to start the concern of their own such as District industries Centre, SIDCO, SIPCOT and KVIC. The session was an eye opener for many students and the session ends with positive feedbacks from audience.
