CSE Intra Department Sports – Cricket Tournament

Skills Like Teamwork, Leadership, Patience, Discipline, Learning From Failure, Sportsmanship, Etc., are Developed Only When Students Play Sports On A Regular Basis, And These Skills Are Equally Important When It Comes To Studies And Management, Which Ultimately Lead To Skill-Building. In this regard, FXEC the Computer Science and Engineering Department organized the Intra department sports competition under the activity code ACT/22-23/01223. In the Cricket match for the boys, 6 teams participated. The matches were conducted on Knock out basics. The first match was between the II CSE and IV CSE. The team headed by Mr. Aadhi from II CSE won the match. The second match was conducted among three first year CSE teams. In the first match I year C team won the match against I Year CSE A team. In the second match I year CSE C won the match against I Year CSE A. In the semi-final I Year CSE played against III Year CSE. In that match, III Year CSE won the match and entered the final. The Final match was conducted between III Year CSE and II Year CSE. The II Year CSE Team was headed by Mr. Aadhi and the III Year team was headed by Mr. Arnold. The III Year team won the toss and elected to field first. The II-year team set the target of 71 runs in 10 Overs for the III-year CSE. Mr. Aadhi was the top scorer. He scored 41 runs in 18 balls with 6 sixers. Mr. Hari of III Year bagged 2 wickets and Mr. Felix, Mr. Fazil and Mr. Kasi Raja bagged one wicket each. The III Years reached the target in 5.5 overs with 8 wickets in hand. Mr. Vishnu was the top scorer in the second innings. He scored 41 runs from 15 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixers. The winners were appreciated by the Principal Dr. Velmurugan, the CSE HOD Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, tournament coordinator Dr. E. Manohar, Mr. Sivakumar, Mr. S. Malaiarasan of CSE Department and by the Physical directors Mr. Suresh, Mr. Sam and Ms. Nandhini.
